Q: When should I order my Dolce Vita wedding cake?

A: Overall, the earlier you order the better! If you are having a summer wedding, then ideally place your order six months before the big day. For spring, autumn and winter weddings, allow three months notice. Don’t worry if you have left it too late – please get in touch to confirm our availability.

Q: Do you offer a wedding cake decorating service?

A: We provide a personalised decorating service for wedding cakes, such as those made by a family member. Prices start from £35 for decorating an eight inch square tier with marzipan and simple icing. We are happy to quote for more elaborate handmade decoration.

Q: Will you deliver my wedding cake?

A: We offer local delivery and set up free of charge. Please contact us for a quote if your wedding reception is further afield.

Q: How long will my Dolce Vita wedding cake stay fresh?

A: If stored properly and kept somewhere cool, chocolate and sponge cakes will stay fresh for 10-14 days. Marzipan and icing on a fruitcake act as a barrier, giving a shelf life of up to a year. We are happy to advise you on how to store your wedding cake – just ask!

Q: Do you cater for special dietry requirements?

Our wedding cakes are handmade from fresh seasonal ingredients and local produce. All special diets can be catered for including wheat-free, diabetic, vegan and food allergies. Please just let us know your requirements.
